Breast Pathology

The breast pathology service evaluates cancers and other lesions of the breast. UCLA-home of the nationally-known Revlon/UCLA Breast Center and Iris-Cantor Center-offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including evaluation of biopsies and resections for diagnosis of conditions including intraductal and infiltrating carcinoma. Consultations include discussion of prognosis and assessment of therapeutic options. In addition to determining if cancer is present in biopsy tissue, important prognostic and predictive factors are evaluated to guide therapy.
